Dr. Harness has returned to practice medicine in Pilot Knob with Missouri Highlands Health Care. He started practicing on November 15, 2017 at Iron County Medical Clinic, where he had previously practiced for five years. He changed his practice to family practice in 2014 and practiced there for a couple of years. Most recently, he has practiced as a VA physician in Salem, Missouri. Dr. Harness continues to reside in Farmington with his wife and three children. He is excited to be back at Iron County Medical Clinic and to see both old and new patients.

Amber Richardson, PhD

Dr. Amber Richardson, PhD is a clinical psychologist working in the Poplar Bluff office. Dr. Richardson possesses a PhD in clinical psychology in addition to a Masters degree in Counseling and Personnel Services. She has been working in private practice and rural health for several years and is joining Missouri Highland’s as part of the organization’s growing behavioral health program. Dr. Richardson has worked in several clinical settings including inpatient mental health, partial hospitalization programs, natural outpatient settings, and outpatient clinics. As a native Poplar Bluffian, Dr. Richardson is excited continue providing services to rural populations in Missouri Highland’s uniquely integrated medical setting.

Dr. Richardson is devoted to providing quality, evidence based care to individuals with a variety of needs, including psychotherapy, counseling, and psychological assessment. Dr. Richardson is currently accepting patients of all ages Monday through Thursday in the Poplar Bluff clinic.

Dr. Kristen Alexander, a Poplar Bluff native and 2008 graduate of Poplar Bluff Senior High, has earned her doctorate of dental medicine degree and certificate in public heath from A.T. Still University’s Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health in June of 2017.  Her passion to become a dentist blossomed while interning with local Poplar Bluff dentists in high school as well as from her experiences as a scholar in the Southeast Missouri Area Health Education Center’s youth program. Dr. Alexander and her fiancée Marcus Frey, also of Poplar Bluff, enjoy spending time on Current River, fishing, and traveling.  She is excited to be back practicing in her home town and looks forward to contributing to the community’s dental health.

Dr. Aaron Strange grew up in Ironton, MO. Following high school, he went on to pursue his career in dentistry in Kansas City. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in May 2017 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Strange and his wife, Kylie are pleased to have returned home to reside in Pilot Knob.

Amy Manning, FNP-C is a 2016 graduate of Frontier Nursing University. Her education efforts continue as she works towards her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. Amy has been a registered nurse for 13 years with hospital and home health nursing experience. As a nurse practitioner, she has worked in women’s health and family practice. She lives on a cattle farm near Ellington with her husband and three children. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time on her farm, spending time outdoors, and attending church with her family. Tammy has worked in social work for 20 years.  She graduated from SBU in 1997 for undergraduate degree and MSU in 2004 with Master of Social Work degree. She has diversified experience working in multiple areas of social work.  Areas ranging from family services, child abuse and neglect, vocational rehabilitation, several medical social worker roles, and traditional therapy for all ages.  She is trained in EMDR to help people with trauma issues and loves working with children.

Adam Kakar, DO graduated from the New York Institute of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his osteopathic internship at Nassau University Medical Center, and then completed his family medicine residency in Long Beach, New York. Dr. Kakar has been practicing family medicine in the United States since 2011. While he enjoys treating patients of all ages, Dr. Kakar especially enjoys working with adults. In his spare time he enjoys being outdoors.

She is a 2016 graduate from the University of Missouri- St. Louis with a Master’s of Science in Nursing. Ashley is married to Ben Starnes and has two sons, Noah and Rylan. Debra Wyatt, LCSW has 18 years experience working with children, youth, adults and the elderly. Dr. Tammy J. Lindsay, a Van Buren native, retired after 21 years of service in the United States Air Force. She received her medical degree from UMKCSchool of Medicine in 1994. Dr. Lindsay began her Air Force career at Scott Air Force base. In 2006, Dr. Lindsay won the prestigious Family Physician of the Year Award for the Uniformed Services Academy. Additionally, she currently has her acupuncture board certification and takes great pleasure in utilizing this alternative tool to treat appropriate conditions. Dr. Lindsay serves as Medical Director for Missouri Highlands and is very pleased to be serving her hometown communities.

Dr. Camire began his career as a Physician’s Assistant in the United States Air Force in 1976.  He graduated from the Des Moines University College of Medicine in 1997 and began practicing as a Family Physician.  He was named Physician of the Year in 2005 by the Missouri Home Care Alliance.  He enjoys treating patients of all ages and has a passion for serving rural communities.
