I. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Overall concern is to carry out the goals and objectives of Missouri Highlands Health Care, as determined by the Board of Directors by providing health care services within their scope of knowledge, training and skills, to the population of individuals within the service area.

II. QUALIFICIATIONS

Degree from an accredited nursing school and successfully written the RN licensure exam. Two (2) years experience as a Registered Nurse. Graduate of a certified State or Nationally approved Nurse Practitioner program, and preferably certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

III. SUPERVISION

The Nurse Practitioner is responsible to the Medical Director and/or Clinical Director with secondary responsibilities to the Chief Executive Officer and Missouri Highlands Health Care, Board of Directors.

IV. FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Provides clinical management for clinic patients on site or off site, including health supervision of uncomplicated illness, including chronic illness, persons with minor accidents and anticipatory guidance.

B. Elicits and records health histories for individuals and families in a systematic and succinct form and critically evaluates and documents the findings in the patient’s chart.

C. Assumes responsibility for health surveillance relevant to health teaching to promote optimal physical and mental health to prevent illness and establish a Wellness mode.

D. Must show proficiency in computer skills, as MHHC utilizes EMR exclusively for patient charting and billing.

E. Supervises, as deemed necessary, allied health personnel when appropriate to complete above objectives.

F. Uses sound judgment in deciding which persons can be served by the Nurse Practitioner and which should be referred either to physicians for differential medical diagnosis or to other community resources.

G. Collaborates with other professional staff members, physicians and other health professionals in devising improved and ongoing ways to deliver quality primary health care.

V. EVALUATION

Nursing - CMA - Care Manager Open Positions:

A scribe’s core responsibility is to capture accurate and detailed documentation (handwritten, electronic, or otherwise) of the encounter in a timely manner. Scribes are not permitted to make independent decisions or translations while capturing or entering information into the health record or EHR beyond what is directed by the provider. Scribes are responsible for capturing medical information at the point of care which allows the provider to focus on bedside manner and provide hands-on, attentive, face-to-face care that increases both patient and provider satisfaction. The general duties of a scribe may vary and can include:

  • The Medical Scribe will assist the provider in navigating the EHR.
  • The Medical Scribe must be able to locate information for review (i.e., previous notes, reports, test results, and laboratory results)

The case manager is responsible for providing care coordination and health education for low risk, at risk, and socially high-risk patients who receive primary, dental and/or behavioral health care at Missouri Highlands Health Care, including, but not limited to eligibility assistance, women’s health services, and transportation assistance.

III. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· Obtain a license as an LPN or a certification as a medical assistant or medical tech.

· Two years’ experience in an ambulatory setting with at-risk patients preferred.

· Knowledge of available community resources and the ability to evaluate resources and make appropriate referrals.

1. Assessment: Provide an assessment of individual/family needs and strengths and develop and monitor a plan for assistance.

Missouri Highlands Health Care is seeking to hire a full time Community Health Worker for Big Springs Medical Clinic in Van Buren and Annapolis Family Clinic. 

This position will be housed in Van Buren and will need to travel to Annapolis based on patient needs.

Community Health Workers will primarily be working out in the community with specific target
populations. CHW’s will work closely with medical providers, primary care teams, and other
agencies to improve patient care and outcomes.

SUMMARY: Healthcare staff accountants are responsible for maintaining the financial records of Missouri Highlands Healthcare. Accountants must comply with federal, state, and local laws in accounting and healthcare management.

DUTIES:

· Monitor purchase orders for the organization to ensure compliance to internal purchasing polices. Ensure proper approvals are in place and captured. Track flow of purchase order to packing slips to facilitate three-way match.

· Must have solid knowledge of Accounts Payable process. Will be responsible for confirming three-way match of purchase orders to packing slips to invoice prior to Vendor payment.

· Will initiate and manage Vendor payment process for the organization.

Summary: The A/P Clerk assists in the administration of the financial/business functions of Missouri Highlands Health Care. The A/P Clerk will use a variety of computer software and systems to perform his/her duties. The A/P Clerk performs tasks with work priorities and general instructions provided by the CFO. He/She will exercise judgment in selecting and applying procedures correctly and in determining when to refer problems to the CFO.
