Float Receptionist for all Clinics

Missouri Highlands Health Care is seeking a FLOAT Receptionist to provide reception duties at our 12 medical clinic locations.

Travel is required. Mileage is reimbursed.

Experience in a medical clinic is preferred. Candidate must possess good organizational skills, ability to change focus with multiple interruptions, medical terminology, and customer service skills.

Some duties are (not all inclusive):

  • Follows opening and closing procedures according to office guidelines.
  • Greets patients/parents in polite, prompt, helpful matter and provides any necessary instructions/directions.
  • Obtains and enters new patient demographics; updates patient information, on every office visit, in the computer system to maintain accuracy for billing.
  • Obtains insurance information; may require verification by contacting insurance companies.
  • Collects all co-pays and balances, as required by office policies.
  • Reviews all forms for accuracy and completion according to office policies prior to accepting.
  • Schedules return appointments at check out.
  • Proves out at closing showing the day’s total receipts; matches the day’s transactions and completes deposit slips
  • Answers telephone

Seeking LPN for Urgent Care in Doniphan, MO

Missouri Highlands Health Care is seeking an experience RN for our upcoming Urgent Care Clinic in Doniphan, MO.
Applicants must have Urgent Care or Emergency Room experience and be ACLS ( Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certified.

Responsibilities include:
· Telephone and in-person triage (for symptom management)
· Assist with management of urgent and emergent patient care situations
· Assist with management of central venous access devices
· Review and act on test results (lab, x-ray)
· Initiate and monitor intravenous (IV) infusions
· Assist or perform procedures (e.g. ECGs, dressing changes, subcutaneous or intra-muscular injections, etc.)
· Coordinate and monitor provision of medical services.
· Assist providers with direct patient care.
· Triage walk-in and call-in clients as appropriate for patient care and safety.
· Keep patients records; complete appropriate forms and reports. Provide appropriate documentation.
· Adhere to patient confidentiality.
· Observe sign and symptoms, document and report reactions of the treatment to the provider.
· Provide patient education
· Execute delegation protocols
· Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
· Serve as a mentor and resource to others
· Assist with the management of patients with multiple chronic health conditions, acute episodes of care, behavioral health challenges while promoting and supporting prevention and wellness

Seeking Licensed Clinical Social Worker for Urgent Care in Doniphan, MO

Missouri Highlands Health Care is seeking a LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) for our upcoming Urgent Care in Doniphan, MO.
Hours of operation will include part of weekend days

JOB SUMMARY:
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker reports to the Behavioral Health Director. Under general supervision and with latitude for independent judgment. The Licensed Clinical Social Worker is a part of the person centered integrated care team and provides direct and indirect services to persons served in both the primary care and behavioral health setting.

JOB OBJECTIVES:
Work cooperatively with MHHC’s providers and personnel to carry out the goals and objectives of MHHC, according to established policies and procedures.
Will treat others respectfully whether it is a patient, fellow employee, member of management, customer, vendor or visitor to our premises.
Assess, diagnose, and evaluate clinical symptoms, developmental and personality disorders, severity of psychosocial stressors and global functioning and address medical conditions as they affect patients’ functioning.
Plan treatment based on the individual client’s needs and resources and on clinic and community resources.
Coordinate professionals involved in patient care to insure interdisciplinary collaboration and continuity of services.
Provide comprehensive and current knowledge of community resources for supplementary treatment of clients and make referrals, which adequately and appropriately utilize these resources. Is available for consultation with other clinic staff regarding community resources.
Provide a continuum of short- and long-term psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, families, and groups, based on individualized treatment plans.
Function as an integral part of a multidisciplinary department including psychiatrists, psychologists and clinical nurses.
Maintain good communication and collaborative relationships with referring physicians and other staff and recommend additional referrals for patients as needed.
Work with collateral personnel as needed in the planning and delivery of services and case management.
Carry out ongoing record keeping and case review of all psychotherapy work in compliance with State guidelines.
Carry out all above-mentioned duties with the highest professional standards, including maintenance of patient confidentiality.
Provide assessment (by telephone and in person) of dangerousness and immediacy of crisis situations.
Design and carry out appropriate interventions in crisis situations.
Offer in-service education programs and functions as a resource to the medical staff and the community as needed.
Participate in development and selection of patient education materials and services.
Represent the Health Center and the Counseling Staff to the community at large in a professional and helpful manner.
Maintain pertinent patient information in the medical record.
Complete the necessary written information and data in a timely fashion.
Must comply with the provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996.
Attend staff meetings as requested.
Perform related work as required.
ESSENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Assess and treat a wide variety of patients/clients with accuracy, proficiency, and efficiency at an advanced professional level.
Cognitively read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Effectively present information and respond to questions from patients, and other individuals encountered in the course of employment.
Communicate with patients and office staff with tact and patience utilizing good communication skills.
Must comply with the provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996.
Perform effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
Clean and neat appearance.
CRITICAL SKILLS/EXPERTISE:

Master’s Degree in a mental health field with documented clinical course work and field experience. Possess broad background of training and experience with various patient populations and modes of service delivery. Must demonstrate the ability to turn on the computer and the monitor. Must demonstrate the ability to navigate from the computer desktop to Microsoft (MS) Office. Must demonstrate the ability to open, minimize, and maximize different windows in the Microsoft Office applications (see #4 above).Must be able to talk, hear, react, stand, kneel and lift.
