Clinical setting experience is preferred. LPN must possess excellent communication and organizational skills.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Seeking Full-Time Healthcare Organization Risk Manager

Missouri Highlands Health Care is seeking an experienced Risk Manager for our Healthcare Organization. Missouri Highlands Health Care is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center serving the uninsured and under-served patients in 7 counties of rural Southeast Missouri.

The Risk Manager is responsible for leading and managing patient safety/clinical risk management initiatives impacting clinical and operational processes throughout MHHC. The Risk Manager’s specific focus will be toward the review and reduction of medical errors and other factors that contribute to unintended adverse patient outcomes and patient dissatisfaction. The coordinator works collaboratively with administration and physicians to identify and enhance patient safety and clinical risk management practices which produce quantitative and qualitative results for MHHC. The Risk Manager provides on-going support, instruction and facilitation to all aspects of the Health Center’s efforts to meet and exceed patient safety related regulatory agency standards. Performance outcome deliverable include quality, safety, patient satisfaction, process improvements and regulatory compliance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Enhances professional growth and development and maintains skills and knowledge through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-services, workshops and professional affiliations.

2. Facilitates QI / Risk Management meetings, maintains meeting minutes, tracks process improvements, maintains Performance Improvement files, ensuring compliance with ADA, HIPAA and other confidentiality / privacy regulations, and updates any changes in QI / Risk Management program or processes.

CRITICAL SKILLS/EXPERTISE:

Advanced degree in nursing or other health-related field; experienced in developing, implementing, evaluating & overseeing of projects; quality policy development; mentoring multi-disciplinary teams; experienced with quality management in managed care organizations, developing & providing quality training programs for healthcare professionals, and developing protocols for ensuring compliance with practice guidelines & regulations; strong analytical, interpersonal, oral, writing & computer skills. Past experience in Risk Management required. Be a self-starter, and have effective time management skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must have the knowledge of examining patients, diagnose dental diseases and provide proper cure in terms of medicines and surgical treatments.
  • Must be capable of educating patients with general care, presentations and cleanness of teeth at regular time intervals.
  • A dentist should have proper knowledge of latest dental treatment techniques.
  • Dentist has to decide the replacement of teeth, cleaning, filling, extracts with use of hand instruments, medications etc.
  • A dentist needs to know the treatment plans of patient and should suggest suitable healing according to the condition.
  • Must be able to assist with recruiting staff.
  • A dentist should have the potential to maintain and train the staff, if required for emergency.
  • Dentist should have ability to motivate the staff to work tenderly, be friendly with patients, and maintain dental treatment standards.
  • Must set up a friendly relation with the patients to educate him/ her about the complications of treatment and duration of healing process.
  • A dentist has to prepare a dentist case file including medical history and current dental formation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
