Missouri Highlands Health Care is seeking a CNM/FNP to join our team!

The CNM/FNP will improve access to risk-appropriate care in the area, serving as a maternal health provider via telehealth connection with MHHC primary care clinics to provide increased access to obstetric specialty care in the region. They will also assist patient appointments utilizing the telehealth connection with SSM Health Perinatal Center to ensure access to MFM specialists in the region. Missouri Highlands is looking to hire an Ultrasound Technician for our very busy Women’s clinic located in Poplar Bluff, MO.
 
Competency and efficiency in operating various ultrasound machines and probes to achieve high quality images for detailed fetal anatomic surveys, transvaginal ultrasounds, biophysical profiles, specialized Doppler studies, gynecological exams, knowledge of 3D and other procedures as needed. NT Certification preferred.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Must have reasonable knowledge in various fetal conditions and anomalies as well as an understanding of gynecological assessments.
  • This position requires the ability to evaluate a situation and determine the best method of achieving optimal ultrasound images is essential.
  • Reviews patient’s electronic medical records to obtain and record identifying information required for the knowledge of what is needed for the physician to make an accurate diagnosis.
  • Instructs patient in preparing for examination and explains procedures to be performed.
  • Operates, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains ultrasound equipment.
  • Performs calculations and measurements to appropriately focus the exam and obtain the data needed.

Dental Assistants perform a number of duties in a dentist’s office. Some tasks may be clerical. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare patients for the dentist’s examination.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Work cooperatively with Missouri Highlands Health Care providers and personnel to carry out the goals and objectives of Missouri Highlands Health Care, according to established policies and procedures.
2. Assure that the corporation is fiscally responsible and operates within a balanced budget on all grants.
3. Assure all reporting requirements and deliverables on all grants are met timely and reported accurately.
4. Understand Uniform Grant Guidance established by the federal government.
5. Assist with the annual audit by assuring that required schedules, reports and documentation are readily available and provided to the auditors.
6. Assure appropriate deposit and use of grant funds, and prepare accurate cash expenditure reports as required by the Division of Federal Assistance Finance.
7. Assist in preparing reports and budgets for the annual grant application and other funding applications as may be appropriate.
8. Supervise and evaluate assigned personnel.
9. Recommend policies, procedures and actions to improve the ability of Missouri Highlands Health Care to achieve and maintain financial stability.
10. Attend conferences, seminars, or meetings at the request of the Executive Director to maintain current working knowledge of health care grants and grant reporting.

Peer Support Coordinator
The Peer Support Specialist will report to the Missouri Highlands Health Care’s Chief Operating Officer and the Southern Missouri OUD/SUD Taskforce (SMOT). The Peer Support Specialist will coordinate peer/recovery support volunteers in the target rural area. They will work with Missouri Hospital Association and the EPICC program to promote access to peer support and recovery services.
 
ROLES AND RESPOSNIBILITIES:
1. Conduct outreach and engagement in the community. Recruit volunteers to assist with peer support/recovery.
2. Work with Missouri Hospital Association and the EPICC program to coordinate training and coaching of the volunteers.
3. Connect peer support/recovery volunteers with individuals suffering from, or at risk of , OUD/SUD.
4. Provide assistance and support to peer support/recovery volunteers.
5. Work with partner organizations and the Southeast Missouri OUD/SUD Task Force to address opioid prevention, treatment, and recovery initiatives.
6. Track and monitor data as needed in the appropriate health information technology system.
7. Participate in quality improvement initiatives as appropriate.
 
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. Knowledge of opioid use disorder and/or substance use disorder programs.
2. Strong communication and coaching skills-ability to work with, coordinate, and support volunteers.
3. Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
4. Experience within health care or similar environment-knowledge of programs serving at-risk populations.
5. Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or experience in the addiction services field or experience as a peer support or recovery coach.
6. Experience working with clients of low health literacy levels and ability to build rapport with a diverse culture of patients.
