Class Information:
Participants do not have to be Missouri Highlands Health Care patients to register for classes. The class will be geared toward the basics of breastfeeding and how to get breastfeeding off to a good start.

Topics Covered Will Include:

• Benefits of breastfeeding
• How to establish a milk supply
• Infant hunger and satiety cues
• Latch on and positioning techniques
• Assessing for adequate milk transfer
• Handling common breastfeeding problems
• Maternity care practices that impact breastfeeding
• Pumping while separated from the infant

Nothing is required to bring, however, you are more than welcome to bring a pen and notebook to take notes.
