Supervisor: Chief Executive Officer

Job Summary: This position will administer and monitor the organization’s grants. Obtains, receives, and compiles data to complete statistical narratives, grants, and other reports. Serves on various committees and other community-based organizations, local and state agencies. Participates and assists with community presentations and health promotion activities.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Work cooperatively with Missouri Highlands Health Care providers and personnel to carry out the goals and objectives of Missouri Highlands Health Care, according to established policies and procedures.

2. Assure that the corporation is fiscally responsible and operates within a balanced budget on all grants.

3. Assure all reporting requirements and deliverables on all grants are met timely and reported accurately.

4. Understand Uniform Grant Guidance established by the federal government.

5. Assist with the annual audit by assuring that required schedules, reports and documentation are readily available and provided to the auditors.

6. Assure appropriate deposit and use of grant funds, and prepare accurate cash expenditure reports as required by the Division of Federal Assistance Finance.

7. Assist in preparing reports and budgets for the annual grant application and other funding applications as may be appropriate.

8. Supervise and evaluate assigned personnel.

9. Recommend policies, procedures and actions to improve the ability of Missouri Highlands Health Care to achieve and maintain financial stability.

10. Attend conferences, seminars, or meetings at the request of the Executive Director to maintain current working knowledge of health care grants and grant reporting.

11. Perform related work as required.

12. Performs various grant administration functions such as billings, budgeting, plan change, and program evaluation.

13. Keeps current on local, regional, and national affairs, policies, and legislation affecting health care.

14. Assists with the implementation and reporting dealing with the Affordable Care Act and Outreach and Enrollment.

15. Monitors that the organization is following HRSA’s 19 program requirements.

16. They will help ensure that a collection of legislative, regulatory, and policy changes are put into place to provide economic and structural support to our health care delivery system.

17. Works to gather data for reports and ensure that proper records are maintained.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Possess ability to read, write, hear, see, speak, spell, and perform simple mathematical calculations.

2. Possess ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing, to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, to effectively present information and to respond to questions.

3. Possess computer knowledge, especially in Microsoft Excel. Must demonstrate accuracy, proficiency and efficiency.

4. Possess cognitive skills necessary to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and government regulations.

5. Possess ability to endure driving long distances if necessary

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required.

2. Experience in working with grants at not-for-profit entity preferred.

3. Healthcare experience of 5+ years preferred.

4. Must demonstrate tact, patience and good communication skills in dealing with patients, MHHC staff, and the public.

5. Must respect and maintain confidentiality.

6. Maintains a professional appearance and attitude.

7. Valid driver’s license is required.
