MAINTENANCE – NON-EXEMPT
JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Functions:
- Maintenance will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining repairs for MHHC’s physical environment (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems) to ensure optimal operating results.
- Regular site surveys for safety and identification of repair / maintenance needs.
- Request, review and negotiate work plans and pricing of quotes / bids for needed maintenance / repairs.
- Identify areas of need, to ensure visitor/employee safety.
- Help manage implementation of agency facilities strategy including areas of expansion, renovation and change as identified by leadership.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment and also in open areas such as our facilities grounds. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines and maintenance equipment such as standard tools, step stools and ladders.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit or stand for long periods; walk; use hands to finger dexterity, and reach with hands and arms, lift items up to 50lbs, using a ladder and other materials related to janitorial or building repairs. Exposure to outside elements such as, sun wind and rain.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel:
Travel between our facilities and to local vendors will be expected.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to use Microsoft office applications (word, excel, outlook etc).
- Minimum Class E Driver’s License.
- Maintenance Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
