Missouri Highlands Health Care Announces New School-Based Health Clinic Partnership with Doniphan R-1 School District
DONIPHAN, MO – February 08, 2024 – Missouri Highlands Health Care (MHHC) is excited to announce a new partnership with the Doniphan R-1 School District, launching a school-based health clinic starting February 8th. This innovative initiative aligns with MHHC’s commitment to keeping students in school by providing accessible healthcare on campus. “Doniphan R-I is excited that Missouri Highlands has chosen us as a partner in serving our community and thankful for the enhanced services this brings to our school”, says Principal James Fish.
About the New Clinic
The clinic, staffed by experienced nurse practitioners and dedicated staff, will be located within the school campus, offering medical services exclusively to students and faculty. This on-campus facility ensures that when students feel unwell or sustain injuries at school, they can be promptly referred by the school nurse to the on-campus Nurse Practitioner.
Parental Convenience and Student Wellbeing
Understanding the challenges parents face, appointments can be scheduled through the School Based Health Clinic staff. This service aims to minimize disruptions to a parent’s workday and ensures students receive timely care and can return to class when appropriate.
Proactive Health Management
Parents are encouraged to be proactive by providing necessary information to the clinic in advance. For existing patients of MHHC, the clinic will have access to their medical records, ensuring continuity and efficiency in care.

The Doniphan School District clinic joins MHHC’s network of school-based clinics, including:
Naylor II: Tuesdays, 8:00AM – 3:30PM
Neelyville R-IV: Monday & Wednesday, 8:00AM – 3:30PM
Lone Star Ripley Co. R-IV: Friday, 8:00AM – 3:30PM
MHHC is in the process of hiring another Nurse Practitioner to join our School Based Care team to help open more days at some of the locations.
